Correct watering saves your garden by delivering the actual volume of water needed for healthy plants.

In the past we have used timers which can over or under water depending on the flow you get from your tap. Over-watering and under-watering can both have a disastrous effect on your garden. Use the Litre Meter to give your garden the water it needs - nothing less, nothing more. 

As a guide 10 mm of rainfall is considered good for gardens in most areas.  This means that each square metre of garden wil need 10 litres of water to stay green and healthy.  The table on the left shows how much water to use for various sized gardens.

Just estimate your garden area, calculate how much water is needed and water until you have used the correct amount.

Remember to only re-water when the soil drys out.
